Take a deep breath. Close your eyes. Listen to the birds and the slow awakening of the city. It’s Saturday morning in Porto, and a new ritual begins in the garden of Marquês Garden House: yoga classes open to the public, dedicated to wellbeing, pause, and serenity.
Since the end of July, this Olivia Singular Houses property has been inviting guests, neighbours, and curious passers-by to join a morning practice every Saturday at 9:00 AM. More than just a class, it’s designed to be a moment of balance between body and mind, in a peaceful setting at the heart of the city.
1. Porto wakes slowly and the day begins with intention
August brings a lighter rhythm. The days are long, and mornings are meant to be unhurried. In this context, the yoga sessions in the garden of Marquês Garden House are an invitation to begin the day with awareness, in an intimate and welcoming environment.
It’s a chance to gently awaken the body, align your breath, and experience the city in a more mindful way.
2. An accessible and therapeutic practice
With a therapeutic and inclusive approach, these sessions are designed for all experience levels — from complete beginners to those looking to deepen their connection with the body and breath.
“In a fast-paced world, slowing down is a brave choice. These classes offer a way to reconnect with what matters most — the body, the breath, and the tranquility we so often forget. We want Marquês Garden House to be a space of wellbeing, not only for our guests, but for the city itself,” says Carlos Freitas, General Manager of Olivia Singular Houses.
3. How to join?
Yoga classes take place every Saturday at 9:00 AM in the garden of Marquês Garden House, and last approximately one hour.
Participation is open, and you can register by emailing marquesgardenhouse@oliviahouses.com . Comfortable clothing is recommended to fully enjoy the experience.
4. Wellness in the heart of the city
